Sofia Smith is interested in what afro-diasporic music practices can tell us about black ways of being. She is a jazz vocalist and a co-organizer of Library of Study, a moving site of gathering and convivial research based in New York City. Previous to her doctoral studies, Sofia worked as a film and television producer and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Performance Studies at Williams College.
