Theatre Arts & Performance Studies

Mohammad Mehdi Kimiagari is a PhD candidate in Theatre Arts and Performance Studies at Brown University, from which he holds MA degrees in Middle Eastern Studies and Theatre Arts and Performance Studies. His primary research interests reside at the intersection of performance studies, affect studies, film and media studies, and philosophy. His areas of interest include: Iranian theatre and cinema; history of emotions; secularisms and postcolonial theory; religion and affect. His writing has appeared in Critical Inquiry, Film Criticism, Theatre Survey, Textual Practice and TDR/The Drama Review.
