Playwrights Rep has proven to be a central feature in the New England performance calendar and a fertile ground for the development of new work and new writers. The program has evolved over many years, continually shifting its form to meet the needs of the emerging writers it supports and the audiences that have loyally attended the summer festival year after year. In keeping with Brown University’s vision to advance the role of the arts on campus, we are now in the process of re-structuring the season to reflect current trends in the field. “Writing for Performance” involves the ongoing discovery of new forms and new approaches. This hiatus year will allow us to continue delivering excellence in the field of new writing for performance and increase our noteworthy presence on the world stage.

Your ongoing support of the Brown/Trinity Playwrights Repertory season is very much valued and appreciated. We look forward to communicating our future plans with you when we are able to do so. Further news and information will be communicated to our mailing list and made available at: playwrightsrep.com

Please Note that the TheatreBridge 6-week immersive theatre study summer program for high school students will continue to run in 2015. For more information on the TheatreBridge program, please visit: www.brown.edu/academics/pre-college/theatrebridge
