Auditions and portfolio reviews are neither required nor reviewed for students interested in TAPS. Any materials sent directly to the department will be returned unread and we will not forward materials to the Admissions Office on your behalf.

If you are a prospective Brown student planning to visit the campus during the Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 semesters and would like to speak with someone in the TAPS department about touring our performance facilities, please send an email to taps@brown.edu with the dates of your visit. 

Our TAPS student Administrative Assistant will work with you to find a time that will fit within your schedule and theirs if availability permits. If you have already scheduled a Campus Tour through the Admissions Office, please let us know what time you have scheduled. Also, please let us know if you are flexible concerning the time of your Campus Tour, in case we run into a rare occasion where our Administrative Assistant isn’t available outside that time. 

A  parent or guardian must accompany any prospective student under the age of 18 for the TAPS Tour.

In-person tours are not offered during the summer recess or over the winter break.
